My parents and our church have entered into new territory, extending the family. This month, eight children where brought to us needing a home, two ladies in our church took one child each and the other six are with us until better arrangements can be done…who knows maybe they will just stay with us. It was wonderful to see the two ladies standing up to fill the gap as mothers to those without; they are wonderful women of faith who are committed to raising the children with or without external support.
I am praying that more church members are moved to compassion and open their homes to children who are not their own flesh and blood. this truly can be a new trend that the community we work in can adopt, and of course i have not forgotten, Rome was not built in a day:)
