I can’t get rid of goodness and mercy

when I was a kid my dad made my siblings(i have 3) and I memorize different bible chapters…yes you guessed right, not only am i a pastors kid but i am also a missionary kid, it can’t get any heavier than that if you ask me.hehehe. Anyways, one of the chapters we took to heart was Psalms 23, from time to time this year the end of this chapter has popped up in my mind at random times. It says  “surely goodness and mercy will follow me, all the days of my life…”  without fail whenever this verse comes to mind, even if I am busy with something, my mind goes still and I just meditate over the verse, it gives me so much joy and peace especially when I am going through an extremely crappy day. You see God promises all those who have a right to be called His children that, come, rain, thunder or sunshine goodness and mercy will ALWAYS be following me in every situation I go through. I CANNOT GET RID OF THEM! how amazing is that?! (“,) my job is not to allow self-pity to reign but to actively look for the signs of my close companions called goodness and mercy. Trust me friend, every time i have searched for them i have found them!

So you think you are having a crappy day, month,year, or even season(a couple of years combined of no change)?Take a moment and ask Jesus to show you where goodness and mercy have popped up, you will be surprised to see their smiling faces in the oddest places.Just incase you don’t really get what “mercy” means here is what Websters dictionary says:
mercy:a blessing that is an act of divine favour or compassion.

When you find time friend, read Psalms 23 S-L-O-W-L-Y, I hope after meditating on it over and over again you will be able to say “oh – my – days! i am spoiled! What kind of God do I have that can do all this for me?!” I have a strong suspicion the natural thing you will have to do after this is put on some praise song and DANCE! Yes you read right DANCE!!!! 😀

Psalm 23. A psalm of David.
 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
 5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and mercy will follow me
all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
