I’m still here.

Oh my, it has been far too long. It’s hard to believe I moved in October, when it often feels as if it’s been longer than six months.
In time I will find my rhythm of balancing work and my social life only then will my blogging become more consistent until then, I am afraid it will remain quite sporadic. I am currently spending Christmas break in Alberta; it has been exceptionally cold for these parts, temperatures hover around -26C and a few degrees lower. Naturally we have not gone tobogganing (sliding down a slope with a sled), skiing or taking walks outside enjoying the winter wonderland.  If you ask me, I am fine with being a homebody with everyone else.

Some of you have been faithfully following my blog for many years, thank you! Others I have never met, may never meet and yet your encouraging messages keep me going reminding me to continue polishing my writing and photography skills, I am always grateful for your continued support. My hope for 2018 is that I have more time to keep getting better for you 🙂

I do hope you all had a great Christmas and if not, here are words from a song I am enjoying. I hope they bring a little comfort to you.

I can see the promise
I can see the future
You’re the God of seasons
I’m just in the winter
If all I know of harvest
Is that it’s worth my patience
Then if You’re not done working
God I’m not done waiting
You can see my promise
Even in the winter
Cause You’re the God of greatness
Even in a manger
For all I know of seasons
Is that You take Your time
You could have saved us in a second
Instead You sent a child.

I love reading your blog and seeing your photos. You are a blessing and thank you for sharing! I’m still in Montana and though not nearly as cold as where you are I can’t help but laugh at God’s irony of placing us in these frigid places and i often think of you when I start wanting to complain. Gah! Press on, dear sister in Christ!
